If you need a low-prep free printable activity for this year Labor Day to set up a fun learning session at school or at home, I am happy to share with you this Labor Day word search game.
It is free to download for personal or classroom use.
You’ll Need
- Printer (color printer is best if you want the borders to pop, but black and white works, too. BW printer won’t affect the game itself) + regular Print paper (a4 size)
- Marker or pen to find words, highlither works amazingly, too.

How To Use This Labor Day Word Search
Download the free printable file. It has two pages and is ready for printing.
If using at school or at a kids’ party, print as many copies of the first page with the game as you need. The second page shows the answer (where which word is).
Let kids first read all the words out loud, make sure they understand them well.
The words in this Labor Day word search printable are hidden horizontally, vertically, or diagonally in all directions. So a word can read backwords, too!

I would recommend this word search for older kids as there are words going in all directions and some of them are more complicated.
However, you can sratch off difficult words and adapt it for younger kids or topic of your class.
