How to Use This Rainforest Habitat Activity
Step 1: Download and print. Sign up below for instant free access to the PDF.

Step 2: Talk about the jungle. Before coloring, ask: “What do you know about the rainforest?” You might be surprised what kids already know!
Step 3: Color by number! Work through the key together for younger children, or let older kids tackle it independently.

Step 4: Explore the habitat. Ask: “Why do monkeys live in trees?” or “What other animals live in the jungle?” Great for extending the learning beyond the page.
Step 5: Create a rainforest display. Pair this with the giraffe and zebra pages from the bundle for a beautiful “Animals Around the World” display.

What Kids Learn
The rainforest is one of the most important and fascinating habitats on Earth, and this printable makes it accessible for young learners.
Kids discover that monkeys are perfectly adapted to life in the tree canopy, that rainforests are warm, humid, and incredibly biodiverse, and that these habitats are home to more species of plants and animals than anywhere else on the planet.
The coloring process also reinforces number recognition and fine motor development.
