If you kids loooove riddles and holidays (what kid doesn’t?!), here is a printable that will grant you half-an-hour of quiet time: Halloween word search with 16 words from 3 to 7-letter words hidden!
It is completely free to download, and you can print to use it at home, kids parties, or at school.
Supplies You’ll Need
To use this Halloween-themed word search you will simply need a color printer to start and regular print paper.
Kids can use colored pencils, pens, markers, or crayons to find words.
The file has two pages:

- Marked words to check if kids find all correctly
If you want to reuse it, you could always laminate the page and simply wipe it off after every use.

How To Use This Word Search
Some words are easy and some will be most challenging for younger kids, but for older ones it is a great practice of spelling.
I would suggest the first step to be exactly that: reading all words with the kids and making sure they follow the letters so they can easily find them in the game.
If there is any word that is too difficult for your child just yet, feel free to skip it, the word search will still be fun!
As a parent or teacher you can either set up a timer for kids to complete the whole game under a certain time or see who finds most words (and does that correctly! mistakes do not count).
If it is a holiday activity, I would let it take as much time as a child needs as long as they are occupied and interested in it.
