Step 3: Color by number! Follow the key and fill in the camel’s sunny desert home.

Step 4: Spark a science conversation. Ask: “Why don’t we see many trees in the desert?” or “What do you think camels drink?” Simple questions build big scientific thinking.

What Kids Learn
The desert is one of the most recognizable yet misunderstood habitats.
Through this printable, kids discover that deserts are hot, dry environments with very little rainfall, that camels are perfectly adapted to survive without water for long periods, and that cacti are specially designed to store water.
Just one coloring page is a great conversation starter!
