What Kids Learn
Ocean habitats are a core early science topic, and this printable makes the learning hands-on and visual. Through this activity, kids explore the idea that dolphins are marine mammals that live in saltwater environments, that coral reefs are full of colorful sea life, and that oceans are one of the world’s most important ecosystems. Alongside the science, they’re also reinforcing number recognition and building the fine motor control that supports early writing skills.
