Summer is the perfect excuse to swap out that plain wreath and put something fun on your front door or fill that empty space finally!
I have a ready-to-craft list of easy wreaths you can do whether you are into beachy vibes, boho textures, or crafting with your kids.
Most of these use supplies you probably already have or can grab for just a few dollars — no fancy skills required, except for two ideas for crochet lovers. But those are well worth it!
DIY Macrame Wreath

If you’ve been wanting to try macrame, a wreath is the perfect starter project. It uses simple knots and natural cotton rope to create a boho-chic for a summer door. You can customize it with artificial flowers for a pop of color. This wreath holds up beautifully all season long.
Pinwheel Wreath

This pinwheel wreath is a cheerful summer project that combines paper crafting with home decor. The variety of patterns and colors is endless, so you can customize your own wreath!
Great for any age, honestly and brings a bit of nature home.
DIY Nautical Wreath

This nautical wreath has that classic coastal feel with just ropeand simple pattern. It’s a great fit if your style leans classic and minimalistic, and it comes together faster than you’d think. Great project for teens, adults, and seniors.
Dollar Store Seashells by the Seashore Summer Wreath

I LOVE this idea primarily because every time I happen to be on a beach, I can’t help but look for pretty shells…
This wreath proves you don’t need to spend a lot to get a look you’ll love — everything comes straight from the dollar store. Seashells, a simple wreath form, and a little hot glue are basically all it takes. It’s a quick weekend project.
Easy Clothespin Wreath DIY

This idea is for those homeowners who are not scared of a color pop! Super clever wreath that’s easy to customize with clothespins, paint, and little DIYs. It’s a budget-friendly build with a farmhouse and beach style in one wreath.
Granny’s Patriotic Wreath – Free Crochet Pattern

This crocheted wreath in red, white, and blue is perfect for keeping up through the Fourth of July and beyond. The free pattern uses granny squares stitched together in a wreath shape, making it a fun project if you already know the basics or willing to learn. Great wreath idea if you want a real project and not just a 30-minute cut and glue activity.
DIY Anchor Wreath

This gorgeous anchor-shaped wreath is such a fun twist on the traditional round style, and this one is easier to make than it looks. It leans into a nautical theme without going overboard, so it works for any home near (or far from) the water. Can easily stay on your porch the whole summer.
Ana’s Garden Wreath – Free Crochet Pattern

This crochet summer wreath is full of pretty little flowers and greenery that look like a garden in bloom. The free pattern walks you through each element so even beginner to intermediate crocheters can tackle it with confidence. It’s a gorgeous statement piece that IS fully handmade.
DIY Rainbow Wreath

This rainbow wreath is all color and cheer — exactly the kind of thing that makes people smile when they walk up to your door. It’s a fun one to make with colorful tulle and is very lightweight, in case your door setup can’t handle something heavy and bulky.
Summer Paper Plate Wreath

A paper plate ring becomes a sunny summer wreath with the help of cut-out shapes, bright colors, and lots of glue. Kids can add popsicles, sunshine, or beach balls for a fun front door display.
Perfect for preschoolers, these diy summer crafts keep little hands busy and result in something cute enough to proudly show the neighbors.
